Against the Warriors, Jalen Brunson and Devin Harris offered a look into the Mavericks’ post-J.J. Barea plans

Just as the announcer's voice bellowed his name throughout American Airlines Center on Sunday, Jalen Brunson entered the game against the Golden State Warriors and gave the Mavericks a glimpse of what the team hopes becomes common in J.J. Barea's absence.

On his first look upon returning to the court in the second quarter, the rookie second-round pick connected on a 3-pointer, giving the Mavericks a 40-37 lead. Brunson then secured a rebound on the Warriors' next possession.

It was a short burst from the two-time NCAA champion with Villanova, but it highlighted the Mavericks' expectations for Brunson to succeed with more responsibility as a reserve point guard.
