DALLAS — Falling in all four regular-season matchups against the high-octane Oklahoma City Thunder during the 2015-16 campaign, the Dallas Mavericks know they’ll have to make several adjustments in order to pull off an upset as the two teams square off yet again in the first round of the playoffs.
The Mavericks (42-40) saw their six-game winning streak snapped the first time the two teams matched up, falling to a 117-114 road loss in Oklahoma City back on Nov. 22. Oklahoma City then surged to 2-0 in the season series by taking advantage of a short-handed Dallas squad that opted to rest all five of its starters on the second night of a back-to-back, sprinting to a 108-89 rout at home on Jan.
