Shades of a very long road trip reared its ugly head early and often for the Dallas Mavericks in Saturday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets. That, plus some incredible three-point shooting by Charlotte led to the Hornets defeating the Mavs, 129-108, at the Spectrum Center.
The loss left the Mavs with a 3-2 record on this 10-day, five-game road trip and came one night after they lost in Philadelphia, 111-101.
Playing at times as if their sneakers were filled with cement, the tired-legged Mavs (43-28) will try and regroup when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night at American Airlines Center.
