Here’s our four game-night observations from the Dallas Mavericks’ 118-108 loss to Houston in Game 1 of the first-round playoff series.
Remembering 2005: When the Mavericks and Rockets played in the first round 10 years ago, there was a lot of controversy about the screens that Yao Ming would set in Houston’s half-court offense. This year, it doesn’t look like the Mavericks will have to get the NBA’s attention to have Dwight Howard’s pick-setting closely watched. Howard had a couple of offensive fouls called on him and that was a big reason why he was in foul trouble all night in Game 1.
