The Dallas Mavericks fell to the Miami Heat 113-101 Friday night. Former Maverick Wayne Ellington scored a career high 28 points off the bench for the short handed Heat. Yogi Ferrell chipped in 23 points to lead the Mavericks in scoring.

Dallas opened the game rusty beyond belief, quickly falling behind 12-0. Yogi Ferrell entered the game for Dennis Smith, connected on a floater, and things settled some for the Mavericks. A Dirk Nowitzki pick and pop three started a 9-0 Dallas run which brought the game within four for the Mavericks.
