The offseason is here for the Dallas Mavericks, and they're looking at potential NBA Draft prospects to work out. One of those players is Louisiana-Lafayette forward Shawn Long.
Louisiana-Lafayette PF Shawn Long worked out with Sixers today. Up next, Bucks Wednesday, Nuggets Saturday, next week Rockets and Mavericks.

Long played all four years with the Ragin' Cajuns and was named Sun Belt Player of the Year in his senior year. He posted 19 points and 12 rebounds per game that season. He's listed at 6-foot-10, 256-pounds.
The Mavs are without a first round pick and are left with only a second rounder. That means they're looking at Long as either a second round pick or an undrafted free agent to bring in during the summer camp.
DraftExpress rates Long as the No. 94 draft prospects this year, meaning they don't think he should be drafted. However, Long can help stretch the court, as he shot 40.5 percent from beyond the arc during his sophomore year. However, that figured slipped to 34.7 and to 26.7 percent his final two years.
