The Dallas Mavericks are entering the restart of the 2020 NBA season with three different players on the injury list. Jalen Brunson suffered a shoulder injury in the later part of the season, which required surgery. Dwight Powell tore his achilles and is expected to miss at least an entire year before getting back to the court. The latest injury for the Mavs comes from Courtney Lee, who reportedly injured his calf in a “freak accident” during the NBA’s hiatus. His injury required surgery, and he will now most likely miss the rest of the season in Orlando. Jimmy Crowther, host of All Things Mavs, breaks it down IN THE VIDEO ABOVE AND BELOW.

One player the Dallas Mavs could look to bring in to make up for the loss of Courtney Lee is Ryan Broekhoff. Broekhoff spent a season and a half with the Dallas Mavericks after playing in Australia, but he was recently waived to make room for Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Could the fan favorite make a return to Dallas during the NBA’s transaction window?
Michael Shapiro of Sports Illustrated put out a recent article that mentioned two big-name players the Dallas Mavericks could look to trade for. Dallas could be looking to upgrade at the shooting guard position this summer, and Bradley Beal or CJ McCollum could become available. Both shooting guards are elite players that would fit beautifully next to Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis for the foreseeable future, but do the Dallas Mavericks have enough firepower to trade for either of them?
