The Dallas Mavericks have been one of the most pleasant surprises in this young NBA season, but could they look to add a new piece? The Oklahoma City Thunder are shopping three of its key pieces in Chris Paul, Danilo Gallinari and Steven Adams, and the Mavericks could look to make a push for one of those three players. Gallinari would add elite three-point shooting and a new playmaker. However, if Steven Adams were to join the Mavericks, he would immediately be inserted into the starting lineup and be a key piece for the future at only 26 years old.

JJ Redick of the New Orleans Pelicans may also be on the move this season. The Pelicans have not had a very hot start to the year despite being projected as a bubble playoff team. Redick has never missed the playoffs, and if he were traded to the Dallas Mavs, he could find himself back in the playoffs this year. Redick would bring a valuable veteran presence to the team, while being an elite 3-point shooter.

Delon Wright has been a vital piece off the bench for the Mavs this season, but he is going to miss at least one more game with a strained right adductor that he suffered against the New Orleans Pelicans. Wright has been elite on the defensive end, while making sure to get to the basket on the other side of the ball. The Mavs have a tough stretch coming up against elite eastern conference teams, and Dallas will need him back to compete at their highest level.
