The Dallas Mavericks have surprised some NBA fans with their quick 4-2 start and close games against teams like the Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers. Luka Doncic has been the most impressive player on the court for the Mavs as he is putting up MVP-type numbers every single night with near triple-double averages. Luka Doncic has been used as the primary point guard in Rick Carlisle’s system and has been proving his worth as a playmaker. If Luka Doncic keeps up this level of play and the Mavericks continue to win, he could find himself in the MVP conversation near the end of the season.
