The Dallas Mavericks have just picked up what they hope to be the final piece of their NBA championship puzzle in 2014-15, acquiring Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo in a massive five-player trade (plus draft picks) on Thursday night.
Here's Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports with the details:

Boston will send Rajon Rondo and Dwight Powell to Dallas for Brandan Wright, Jae Crowder, Jamar Nelson, 2015 first-round and future second.

Rondo is averaging 8.3 points, 10.8 assists, and 7.5 assists this season and should instantly provide Dallas with one of the most potential backcourt duos in the league alongside Monta Ellis. The Mavs also acquired 23-year-old power forward Dwight Powell who has appeared in a limited capacity for the Celts in five games this year.
In exchange, the Celtics will receive big man Brandan Wright, veteran point guard Jameer Nelson, rarely-utilized small forward Jae Crowder, and two picks in the 2015 NBA Draft - a decent haul considering that Rondo is an unrestricted free agent come next July.
