In tonight's look into the world of Mavs news, there are varied schools of thought out there when it comes to the Dallas Mavericks' free agent dollar and the possibility of signing free agent-to-be Lance Stephenson.
According to Akshay Mirchandani of FanSided, the Mavericks should stay far, far away from the controversial Indiana Pacers guard: "Lance isn’t just a little crazy. Lance seems straight up insane and bringing Stephenson into Dallas just seems like an accident waiting to happen."
"If the Mavs really wanted Stephenson, they would have to overpay like crazy for him because we all know that there is some team out there that will throw him a boat load of money that he probably isn’t worth," Mirchandani added. "Dallas may have a lot cap space to play with, but there are other holes on this team that need addressing that may end up being pushed to the side with signing Stephenson."
The question for owner Mark Cuban will be whether or not the headaches Stephenson may bring are worth the potential Stephenson showed at times during the Indiana Pacers' playoff run. Stephenson was the Pacers' player during several of their victories on their way to a six-game Eastern Conference Finals defeat at the hands of the Miami Heat.
But, is that glimpse of stardom enough for Mark Cuban to take the chance?
