The Boston Celtics' 104-90 loss to the Houston Rockets on Saturday means nothing to Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle. He is still very wary of the Celtics heading into Monday's matchup in Dallas.
“Very well-coached, No. 1,” Carlisle said of the Celtics on Monday morning, via Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe. “No. 2, high energy; they do a great job of manufacturing shots. I know they didn’t knock down a lot of shots against Houston, but they are a dangerous team, they’re deep. They’re getting better.”
With a healthy Rajon Rondo back on the floor, Carlisle knows the Mavs will have their hands full for the full 48 minutes.
“We’ve been victim of a lot of his games where he’s done everything,” Carlisle stated. “Triple doubles, scoring, and assists, along with rebounds, timely steals. He’s a great player and we have to account for, and the guys around him are younger guys that are skilled and are getting better."
"He knows that and is going to keep them all involved.”
