The Dallas Mavericks' 95-92 loss in Houston to the Rockets on Saturday marked the first time that Chandler Parsons has stepped on the court at the Toyota Center as a member of the Mavs.
Despite a chorus of loud boos in his direction, Parsons insists there is no ill will between him, Houston's fans, and the Rockets organization.
“This was home for me for three years, so I have no hard feelings toward them,” Parsons said, via Jenny Dial Creech of the Houston Chronicle. “It obviously got a little ugly during free agency, but (Rockets general manager) Daryl (Morey) told me it was going to, so it didn’t surprise anyone.
“That’s just how it goes and it’s business, and at the end of the day, my friendship with these guys will stay the same,” Parsons added.
Parsons continues to impress in his debut season in Dallas, putting his time in Houston behind him while growing alongside his new Mavs teammates.
