In tonight's look into the Dallas Mavericks, Mavs owner Mark Cuban is delving once again into the world of mobile apps with a new project called Cyber Dust.
According to Ryan Bushey of BusinessInsider.com, Cyber Dust is "a free texting app that lets you send messages and photos in a sort of chat room, but the messages self-destruct after 30 seconds."
As Forbes Magazine puts it, the newest project from the Dallas Mavericks' entrepreneur is like "WhatsApp meets Snapchat."
Bushey states that "the app leaves no trace of the messages, and they are not stored anywhere. It alerts you if the person has taken a screenshot, and it provides send and read confirmations so that you know if someone viewed your message. If your friend hasn't viewed the message within 12 hours, it will expire and be deleted forever.
He argues that Cyber Dust "could be a viable Snapchat replacement" especially as new security fixes and features come to the app as times goes on.
