IRVING, Texas -- At the beginning of the week, Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett was not worried about his team’s want-to despite being 4-9 and all but out of the NFC playoff race with three games to go.
Fight, he said, has not been an issue.
After three practices this week in getting ready for Saturday’s game against the New York Jets, Garrett is more convinced the want-to will be there even if it does not guarantee a positive result.
“Embrace the opportunity,” Garrett said. “It’s our job as coaches to prepare them in the meetings and the walk-through and the practice and it’s their job to come with the right mindset and energy to take full advantage of those opportunities.
