OXNARD, Calif. -- With the focus of Tuesday’s practice on short-yardage and goal-line situations, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will not practice.
This will be Romo’s third day off in nine training camp practices, mixed in with two off days for the entire team. The Cowboys did not practice Monday.
“We felt like this was an appropriate day to give him that second day in a setting where we’re not going to do that much throwing,” Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said.
The Cowboys will practice Wednesday and Thursday with a walk-through Friday leading into Saturday’s preseason opener against the Los Angeles Rams.
