OXNARD, Calif. – Jason Garrett was evasive when asked which players will take the field Thursday in the Cowboys’ first preseason game against San Diego.
When a reporter specifically questioned him about Greg Hardy, Garrett remained coy, raising some doubt that the defensive end will take the field for the first time since Sept. 7, 2014.
That’s because the Cowboys plan to manage Hardy this preseason in the same way they handled Orlando Scandrick last year. Why?
After the NFL found that he violated the personal conduct policy, Hardy is suspended the first four games – just as Scandrick was heading into the 2014 campaign following a positive test for a party drug.
