Why Jerry Jones had no issue with Jason Garrett attending World Series during the bye

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones took advantage of the bye weekend to watch his grandson John Stephen Jones, who plays quarterback at Arkansas, play against Vanderbilt last Saturday.

He also spent time talking on the phone and in person with coach Jason Garrett about the direction of the football team, namely the looming firing of offensive line coach Paul Alexander.

So, Jones had no problem and saw no issue with Garrett attending Game 3 of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Son on Friday night in Los Angeles.
