ARLINGTON -- The NFL rushing title is now officially there for Ezekiel Elliott's taking.
For the first time since 2016, Elliott sits atop the league rushing table with 1,074 yards. His 121-yard game against Washington on Thanksgiving pushed him ahead of Todd Gurley of the Rams at 1,043 yards. And no one will catch him this weekend. Gurley and the Rams have their scheduled bye Sunday, as does Kareem Hunt and the Chiefs. Hunt is the defending NFL rushing champion and sits third in the rushing race with 824 yards. No one else is in the same zip code with those three backs.
