In prepping for the start of free agency at 3 p.m. Wednesday, the Cowboys' moves are expected to include securing avant-garde defensive lineman David Irving and possibly saying adios to 10-year veteran cornerback Orlando Scandrick.
Dallas is on deadline to submit a tender to Irving, a restricted free agent, by the opening of free agency, and, when done, it should be high-enough grade to keep him in the fold.
Scandrick has been angling for an out since late last season and officially asked to be released ahead of free agency, a source confirmed. The Cowboy used a handful of draft picks on the secondary in recent seasons and will likely move on from the 31-year-old even if they can't find a trade partner.
