FRISCO -- Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott makes no bones about it.
"I don't think it really matters how many touches I would like to see," he said of Sunday's game at the New York Giants, which will have zero impact on the upcoming wild-card playoff game. "But I'm playing."
Elliott has his reasons. It remains to be seen if the coaching staff ultimately agrees with him, though he says they're all on the same page.
It's not about Elliott winning his second rushing title in his three seasons. That's already virtually locked up. His 1,434 yards are well ahead of Los Angeles Rams star Todd Gurley's 1,251.
