ATLANTA -- Kellen Moore's rapid rise in the Cowboys organization is generally tied to ousted offensive coordinator Scott Linehan.
Don't minimize Dak Prescott's support.
While the Cowboys have yet to make a formal announcement, all signs point to the club elevating Moore to replace Linehan as coordinator. Moore retired as a player in 2018 to become the team's quarterbacks coach after the Cowboys parted ways with longtime assistant Wade Wilson.
Prescott lobbied for Moore to get the job after Wilson was gone.
"He can be crazy creative,'' Prescott said of Moore. "From the time he was a player to his time now, he sits over there, we're watching plays and he'll draw a play up and say, 'Hey, this is a compliment off that.
