What's Jason Witten so busy writing about? Cowboys tight end reveals the story behind all his notebooks

FRISCO - There's a corner in an office in Cowboys tight end Jason Witten's house that overflows with notebooks. He's not sure quite how many they total, but he estimates he's filled a notebook every two or three games in his career.

That's roughly 75 to 112 notebooks for a 15-year veteran of the league like Witten. Not to mention any scribbles from his college days at Tennessee or his high school games, playing both tight end and linebacker for his coach who was also his grandfather.

Why so many notebooks?

"When it comes to football, it's pretty organized," Witten said Thursday from Cowboys minicamp at the Frisco Star.
