FRISCO -- When you boil it down to dollars and cents, the Cowboys are paying a heavy price for passing on Johnny Manziel four years ago.
Zack Martin was back in his familiar No. 70, running around the club's practice field at the start of minicamp Tuesday. A protracted negotiation for his second NFL contract is nearing completion -- close enough that Martin was willing to take the field after skipping three weeks of organized team activities. Along with the league's fifth highest paid tackle (Tyron Smith) and the highest paid center (Travis Frederick) the Cowboys will soon possess the league's highest paid guard.
