On the eve of the Super Bowl, when people were hopping from one party to another in downtown Houston, quarterback Tony Romo bumped into actor Jon Hamm.
The implications of this meeting for the Cowboys are clear. Romo intends to retire and assume a role in the sequel to Mad Men. Either that or he was consulting Hamm for the best way to get his taxes won.
Hardly a day goes by that some new piece of information isn't added to speculation about the quarterback's future. While Romo and Hamm did have a conversation during Super Bowl weekend, some of the proposed scenarios that have been floated have no more connection to reality than Romo taking a role in a sequel that isn't in the works.
