What will it take for Romo, Witten to play 4-5 more years? Witten has the answer

ARGYLE — Jason Witten and Tony Romo have been teammates and close friends for 12 seasons. The two have connected for 35 touchdowns and reached the playoffs four times since Romo became the Cowboys’ full-time starter in 2006.

So when Romo, 35, says he has four or five more years left, does that also apply to the 10-time Pro Bowl tight end?

“If we do it like last year we can,” Witten said with a smile during his football ProCamp Sunday at Liberty Christian School. “But I mean, I try not to look that far ahead. I think you just go one year at a time.
