Through Wednesday of the second week of free agency, the Dallas Cowboys added five external free agents. Honestly that’s probably more than most were expecting.
The Cowboys have been notoriously shy in recent memory when it comes to throwing around a lot of cash on the open market. They prefer to build through the draft and only really pay for things that they believe they truly need. Generally this doesn’t tend to be much which leads to some stagnancy.
So far the Cowboys have spent mostly on defense. They have brought in what look to be three (potentially) starters and help elsewhere.
