What Cowboys defenders need to know about ref Jerome Boger

FRISCO, Texas – For the seventh time since 2010 but the first time since the 2017 regular-season finale, the Dallas Cowboys will have Jerome Boger as the referee when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night at AT&T Stadium.

The Cowboys are 3-3 when Boger is the referee, but they won both contests in 2014, against the Washington Redskins and New York Giants. With an NFC East foe in town Sunday, perhaps that is a good omen for the Cowboys.

In the six previous contests, the Cowboys have been penalized 41 times for 296 yards, while their opponents have been flagged 38 times for 272 yards.
