IRVING, Texas – The Cowboys continued to tweak their offensive tackle depth Tuesday, waiving Darrion Weems and officially signing Charles Brown.
Jordan Mills was also waived Monday after a week on the 53-man roster, which means Brown – a five-year veteran with 22 starts in 39 career games – is now the only backup tackle behind starters Tyron Smith and Doug Free.
Brown is a former second-round pick (2010) and college teammate of Smith’s at USC. He played three seasons with the Saints and Giants and signed with the Jets this past summer.
