Some people call that parity. Others prefer the term mediocrity. It really comes down to your own philosophical preferences.
For the Cowboys, this mediocrity holds some good news. Despite their 5-6 record, a win against the Redskins tonight would keep their playoff hopes alive - on paper at least.
But perhaps more importantly, a win tonight would show that the Cowboys' three-game losing streak was merely a mid-season slump and not the end of western civilization.
