Redskins kicker Nick Rose started his day strong.
He connected on a 38-yard field goal and 42-yard field goal in the first half of Washington hosting the Cowboys on Sunday before his miscue resulted in a net minus 10 for Redskins.
How'd it happen?
As Rose, who signed with Washington two weeks ago after Dustin Hopkins strained his right hip rotator muscle, attempted a 36-yard field goal, Cowboys defensive lineman Tyrone Crawford got a hand on the kick to block the attempt. Veteran corner Orlando Scandrick then scooped up the ball and exploded down the left sideline for 86 yards to the Washington 4.
