On his radio show on 105.3 The Fan Tuesday, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doubled down on a proclamation he made during the NFL Network’s “A Football Life” documentary on quarterback Tony Romo.
Jones said the team’s all-time leader passer was a lock to be inducted into the team’s hallowed Ring of Honor.
“The answer is that is, yes, he will be in the Ring of Honor,” Jones said emphatically. “Now, the details will follow.”
Jones said Romo’s lack of playoff success during his time with the Cowboys nor the prospect that he will never make the Pro Football Hall of Fame have no bearing on his decision.
