Video: Cowboys TE coach Mike Pope puts Jason Witten through the ‘Mule Drill’

IRVING — Cowboys tight ends coach Mike Pope has more than just a few tricks up his sleeve. Actually, last year at training camp he said he has 478 of them. They are basically strange ways to create distractions during post-practice drills.

During Wednesday’s organized team activities, Pope unveiled another one.

Jason Witten started the drill by leaning over the top of one tight end while another player held his ankles. Pope then fired footballs at the 10-time Pro Bowler.

Always something different with TE coach Mike Pope. Jason Witten goes first pic.
