Jason Garrett delivered the message the Cowboys have adopted for the season.
Loretta Lynch crafted it.
The U.S. Attorney General didn’t collaborate with the Cowboys coach in the classic sense of the word. But the idea that this team will define themselves _ leading to the “We Do’’ T-shirts being worn at training camp _ came from Lynch.
Garrett was watching CBS This Morning in April around the time Lynch was confirmed and was struck by the inspirational message from the woman who would succeed Eric Holder.
“It really was about as eloquent of an 18 seconds as I’ve ever heard,’’ Garrett said.
