Update, Friday 10:05 a.m.: As expected, the NFL has filed an emergency motion for stay of Ezekiel Elliott's injunction with the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
The league says in the filing that because this case involves a collateral challenge to a labor arbitrator's decision, its prospect of success is slim.
"The standard facing the party challenging the arbitrator's decision is among the most daunting known to the law," the filing says. "The court not only entertained a blatantly premature challenge, but then found a likelihood of success in a procedural challenge to the arbitrator's decision.
