The Cowboys vice president of player personnel has declined a request from the Houston Texans to interview as their general manager, SportsDay Cowboys insider David Moore reports. Keeping McClay is a big win for Dallas' 2018 offseason plans.
"I think that's essential for them this offseason when you put together their list of what needs to happen," Moore said Wednesday Morning on Sportsradio The Ticket 1310 AM/96.7 FM's Ranch Report. "You tend to focus more on personnel, what will happen with Dez Bryant, how will you handle DeMarcus Lawrence's situation, what will you do in the draft, but keeping Will McClay in place and the communication that he's developed between the personnel, the coaching staff and the scouting department.
