FRISCO, Texas -- A week after the 2015 draft ended, the Dallas Cowboys were able to gloat that they actually acquired three first-round talents with only one first-round pick.
They chose Byron Jones at No. 27 overall. They also selected Randy Gregory in the second round at No. 60, ending his draft-day slide because of off-field issues, and added La’el Collins as an undrafted free agent with a fully-guaranteed contract.
It was viewed as quite a coup for a team coming off a 12-4 finish and nothing but bright skies ahead.
