FRISCO -- Travis Frederick lost a season from what should be the peak of his career to an auto immune disease that’s difficult to pronounce.
He didn’t sulk. The Pro Bowl center refused to be overcome by anger or sink into depression over the unfairness of it all.
“For me, those thoughts were never there because once I got to the point where I knew that there was a positive prognosis, it was all about getting back,’’ Frederick said. “It was never about how did I get here?
“When that wasn’t going to be the case, I was already so invested at that point, you can’t just walk away like, ‘Oh, I’m on IR (injured reserve) now so I’m going to just go home and hang out with the kids.
