With one game remaining in his rookie season as a broadcaster, Tony Romo says he really hasn’t missed playing professional football, which you may recall he did for 14 seasons as a Cowboys quarterback.
Oh sure he has had moments of regret. But in the end he has found waking up the morning after a CBS broadcast to be much more to his liking than he did mornings after playing human piñata for sack-happy defenders with bad intentions. He experienced far fewer aches and pains as a 37-year-old analyst than say, a 27-year-old quarterback.
“You always miss it a little bit,” Romo said via conference call this week.
