IRVING — It’s noticeable when a vocal leader like Dez Bryant isn’t on the field making highlight grabs during practice. As expected, that was the case during Wednesday’s organized team activities at Valley Ranch.
Bryant has not signed his franchise tag tender, hoping the team and his agent can still work out a long-term deal before the July 15 deadline.
“We’ve been in communication with him,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said. “He’s been in communication with his teammates. He seems to be in great shape whenever we’ve seen him.”
“Obviously when you have him, it makes things a little bit easier,” Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo said.
