Throwback Thursday: Carter, Hambrick Lift Cowboys To Meadowlands Sweep

The Cowboys played two games at the Meadowlands, starting with a dramatic overtime win over the Giants. After a bye week, the Cowboys returned to New Jersey to face the Jets, yet another of Bill Parcells’ former teams.

In a rainy day, the Cowboys fought through the weather conditions to outlast a gritty Jets squad.

Actually, the weather might have helped the Cowboys early in the game when safety Roy Williams knocked the ball away from future Hall of Fame back Curtis Martin just before the goal line. The fumble went into the end zone, recovered by Darren Woodson for a touchback.
