This time Jason Garrett went for it on 4th down and Cowboys won in OT

The Dallas Cowboys were facing 4th and 1 at the Philadelphia Eagles’ 19 in overtime.

A touchdown would give the Cowboys their fifth consecutive win. A field goal would have given the Eagles a chance to win it with a touchdown.

Cowboys’ coach Jason Garrett, who declined to go for a 4th and 1 in an overtime loss to the Houston Texans in early October, decided to go for broke. In Houston, the Cowboys faced a 4th and 1 at the Texans’ 42 in overtime. Garrett elected to punt and the Texans won it on a 36-yard field goal.
