SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Rookie tight end Geoff Swaim continues to impress Dallas Cowboys coaches and push for one of the club’s final roster spots.
The seventh-round pick out of Texas led the Cowboys with four catches for 57 yards Sunday at San Francisco. He was also targeted a team-high seven times.
“The minute you step back and say, ‘Oh, wow, how cool is this?’ sometimes you take your foot off the gas,” Swaim said. “I don’t think that I can afford to do that right now. It doesn’t matter if you are drafted or wherever, you are always on the chopping block.
