#10 – A Thanksgiving Tradition
One of the reasons the Dallas Cowboys are so popular throughout the world is the fact they annually play on the Thanksgiving holiday. And Cowboys fans can thank former general manager Tex Schramm for that! Despite fears of low attendance, Schramm signed the Cowboys up to play their first Thanksgiving game back in 1966. The game was a hit and broke attendance records at the Cowboys home at the time, the Cotton Bowl.
