OXNARD, Calif. – The Cowboys are being conservative with several players who have day-to-day injuries in training camp. Dez Bryant is one of them.
The week before camp, team officials said they’d monitor Bryant’s practice workload after he missed virtually the entire offseason program while his representatives negotiated a new contract that was finalized on July 15.
With Bryant nursing a slight hamstring strain here in early August, expect the Cowboys to ensure the All-Pro receiver is 100 percent ready to return.
“I think that’s day to day. Obviously we’re not going to rush that, either,” executive vice president Stephen Jones said.
