Dallas Cowboys’ defensive tackle Datone Jones is likely to have surgery to repair a hamstring, coach Jason Garrett said.
Caraun Reid was signed to replace Jones on the 53-man roster on Tuesday.
“My understanding right now is that he will,” Garrett said. “I don’t want to say that definitively. We don’t anticipate him being back any time soon. That’s why we moved him to [injured reserve].”
Jones, who was a first-round pick (26th overall) by the Packers out of UCLA in 2013, played in seven games in 2017, including four with the Cowboys.
