Super Bowl XXX MVP Larry Brown’s gold championship ring hits the auction block

Back in February, Harvey Martin’s Super Bowl XII ring sold at auction for $71,000 and resulted in a lawsuit, filed by the late Dallas Cowboys great’s son against Oak Lawn-based Heritage Auctions, that was tossed just two weeks ago. According to court documents, DeVincent Martin, who initially claimed the ring was stolen, has “relinquished any and all ownership or any other possessory interest in the 1977 Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl XII Championship Ring.”

There will be no lawsuit over the latest Cowboys Super Bowl ring to hit the auction block: Larry Brown’s Super Bowl XXX hardware, presented to the Most Valuable Player in Dallas’ 27-17 win over the Steleers in Tempe on January 28, 1996.
