Still waiting: Summit between Cowboys, Dez Bryant still on tap

Dez Watch continues.

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones confirmed Tuesday during an interview on The Fan (KRLD-FM 105.3) that the team and receiver Dez Bryant have yet to sit down for a much anticipated summit.

The Cowboys could ask Bryant to take a pay cut from the $12.5 million he is slated to earn in each of the next two seasons because of declining play since he signed a $70 million deal before the 2015 season. They could ultimately move on from the eight-year veteran. Jones said it will be team owner Jerry Jones who speaks publicly about the meeting, whenever it happens.
