While this 2016 season marks the 42nd year for Dallas Cowboys Star Magazine, it will also mark its last as a print publication.
Following the 2016 season, the official magazine of the Cowboys will be transitioning to a new and improved online experience that will compliment the team’s website, DallasCowboys.com.
The very first issue (July 19, 1975) of what originally began as Dallas Cowboys Official Weekly featured legendary head coach Tom Landry with No. 1 draft pick Randy White on the cover. Since then, the magazine has grown to be the largest team publication in the NFL, at its height boasting more than 100,000 subscribers during the hey-day years of the 1990s.
