Dallas Cowboys cornerback Maurice Canady has opted out of the 2020 NFL season, according to sources, one day before veterans are set to report for work on Tuesday.
Canady signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys in March as an unrestricted free agent. He played in 13 games last season for the New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens.
Canady tweeted on Monday, "Family first money second #staysafe"
Since signing Canady, the Cowboys re-upped Anthony Brown to a three-year deal, signed veteran corner Daryl Worley and selected Trevon Diggs in the second round of the draft.
